It’s been entirely created and taught by a woman with actual martial arts experience who has survived domestic violence and has first-hand knowledge of the physical and psychological effects of assault.
Every technique has been pressure-tested to work in the real world. We debunk what other self-defense instructors teach like the dangerous way hold keys or break out of a choke. We also demonstrate just how difficult it really is if someone is aggressive, bigger or under the influence. It’s not a simple hit-once-and-run-away situation that's made to look so easy.
The sessions not only focus on physical, but the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of self-defense. Self-confidence, how to control your body in a fight or flight situation, positive self-talk and grounding techniques are just as important as the physical components.
